Our Team
With over 30 years’ experience in the film and television industry, Andrew Wareham is seen by many as an experienced and trusted mentor. He has been instrumental in shaping the careers of some of Australia’s top producers and directors and has been the driving force behind multiple award-winning, multinational campaigns.
Andrew has spearheaded Taxi Film Production from its humble beginnings in 2001 to the dynamic powerhouse that it is today. Through his forward-thinking and creative approach, Andrew has grown flagship brand Taxi to encompass an assortment of enterprises fit for today’s dynamically evolving media landscape. Officially penned in 2018, “The Taxi Group” encompasses Taxi Film Production, Traffic Film and Video, Tasty Pictures, Changer, Born Bred Talent and Oombarra Taxi.
Oombarra Taxi is the newest enterprise to join The Taxi Group family and sees Andrew partnering with the creative mind of Leah Purcell in a bid to support, encourage and grow First Nations storytellers and screen practitioners within the local industry.
Andrew loves nothing more than a good yarn, meeting new people, and supporting emerging leaders in the industry.
Kohbe thrives under pressure. She loves nothing more than a challenge and loves the feeling that comes from finding a solution that works for all.
For the majority of her career, Kohbe has been agency side, a decade of which was spent as the Head of Broadcast & Content Production at Y&R AUNZ with placements across the Brisbane and Sydney markets. This has given her an intimate knowledge of the way agencies run and how people tick and she brings those learnings to lead staff and maximise opportunities for clients in her role at The Taxi Group.
Kohbe has been instrumental in producing multiple award-winning campaigns, and she still gets a kick out of seeing great creative ideas come to life on screen. Whatever the challenge thrown at her, Kohbe is always up for getting a great result and loves to have a laugh along the way.
Simone is one of Australia’s top and most experienced TV commercial producers.
You’ll know when Simone’s working on your project; grounded, balanced and meticulous to boot, she knows how to provide the support that directors, agencies and clients need.
As one of Australia’s most experienced producers, Imogen has gained a unique understanding of the production business.
In a career spanning over 20 years, Imogen has worked across all areas. During her career, she has produced award-winning campaigns for a diverse range of clients.
Imogen possesses excellent leadership, organisational and management skills that are complemented by a can-do attitude to every project she undertakes. She is an extremely valuable asset to every production job.
Mark Bishop, or ‘Bish’ as he is known, is a producer with extensive experience grounded in feature films and high-end TVC production.
Bish has logged thousands of hours on set in locations all around the world. Working with some of the world’s best directors and camera crews in locations that would challenge the best, he has experienced any number of logistical obstacles – you name it, he’s seen it and conquered it.
Bain Stewart is a leading Australian Indigenous independent producer working in film, TV, theatre, visual arts and publishing. Stewart, with Leah Purcell, founded Oombarra Productions in 2011 – a successor to Bungabura Productions, founded in 1996.
Bain Stewart is a proud Ngugi – Goenpul – Noonuccal Murri Man from Quandamooka in Queensland, Australia. Traditional owner and considered an Elder within his community, Stewart recognises this privilege and strives to make the most of position as an Indigenous storyteller and ambassador.
Oombarra’s latest project is The Drover’s Wife the Legend of Molly Johnson feature film. This film is part of a franchise that makes up the award-winning stage-play, the best-selling novel and the tele-series currently in-development. This is alongside a slate of film, TV, theatre and publishing projects. Other produced work include Box the Pony and Black Chicks Talking books, plays and feature documentary.
Oombarra and Taxi Film Production created a business alliance in early 2020, with the intention of bringing commercial advertising scripts to life, through the unique lens of strong indigenous storytellers.
Jill’s extensive production experience has grown over the years having worked in many areas of the ad industry, from agency, to post-production, design, television and TVC/content production, all over Australia.
Jill draws upon this eclectic past for the many varied projects that come her way at Traffic. Whatever the brief, Jill will rise to the challenge and deliver your project on time and on budget, every time. No joke. Wait, she’ll joke around if time permits.
Ash is our in-house production manager rockstar, supporting our producer’s across the full spectrum of our international and local projects.
After graduating university with a Bachelor of Film & Television in 2016, Ash was quick to cut her teeth in the world of commercial production and brings a can-do attitude and enthusiasm to her work.
Jordi is our administrative backbone who keeps our office cogs turning smoothly whilst everyone else is heads down, bum up on jobs! She’s a little bit of finance, she’s a little bit of production, she’s practical as heck and can use an electric drill to assemble office furniture like no-one else!
A love for film and television runs deep in Zara’s blood, with a family brimming full of some of Australia’s top Producer’s, Director’s, and Cinematographer’s.
Leading the new generation of emerging “productionistas”, Zara is known for her positive attitude and boundless enthusiasm, she mucks in, gets it done and has the BEST unit treats along the way!
