Damon Escott

Damon Escott comes with tip-top Director/DP creds and a vast knowledge of the post side of things. He readily packages bold live action with in-camera effects, consistently combining his high sense of aesthetic perfectionism with technical excellence. In his hands, projects become fine art.

Damon is best known for his commercials and music videos. He’s brought his maverick creative background to numerous commercials, directing national campaigns for Coca-Cola, ANZ, Canon, Lux, NRMA, Nestlé, Arnotts, LG, Smith’s Chips, KFC and Sanitarium.

His music video work is bold and beautifully brave. He maintains a strong profile working with some of Australia’s finest music artists including Silverchair, Powderfinger, Eskimo Joe, John Butler Trio, Little Birdy and Sarah Blasko.

Plaudits include an ARIA (Best Music Video), MADC Award (Best Design), a couple of BAD awards (Direction), SBS Television Award at Flickerfest, and has garnered success at apex film festivals including Cannes, Berlin, Spain, Rome, Sydney, Palm Springs, Toronto and Seattle.  He’s also won a Golden Tripod for best cinematography and fifteen other ACS awards.
